Whereas, under the 8th Pay Commission, it is likely to be raised to 2.86, thus bringing up the minimum salary to ₹51,480.

Change In Salary Structure With Dearness Allowance (DA)

Recently, DA was increased by 2%, bringing it to 55%. Reports state that DA may be merged with the basic pay upcoming under the 8th Pay Commission to further increase salaries. Basically, if an employee earns ₹18,000 basic pay, adding 55% DA would make ₹27,900, after which the application of a fitment factor of 2.86 can easily take it to ₹79,794.
