Maruti Suzuki Fronx 2025: A Compact SUV That Redefines Style And Performance

Maruti Suzuki has advanced the envelope of boundaries for compact SUVs through the 2025 Fronx. It is designed to be the right mix of aesthetics, rationality, and technologies. The new Fronx is a leading contender in the sub-4m SUV category. With an updated design, improved fuel economy, and upgraded features, this SUV will leave a lasting impression on the Indian roads.

Bold And Sporty Design

A daring front grille, sleek LED headlamps, and sculpted body lines characterize the 2025 Fronx that elegantly asserts itself on-road. Meanwhile, a sporty element is the personality of the attractive dual-tone alloy wheels. Fronx actually looks ultra-modern and sophisticated with a redesigned tail section. It comes in a variety of color options, enabling buyers to select a variant that resonates well with their personality and preferences in style.

Powertrains And Performance

The Fronx provides two engines to suit the different needs of driving. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine puts out 88.50 bhp and 113 Nm of torque and is mated either to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. Meanwhile, if you want power, the 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine can give about 100 bhp and 150 Nm torque, with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. What is equally good is the fuel consumption, as the manual version gives 21.79 kmpl, while the AMT version reaches 22.89 kmpl.

Advanced Technology And Features

There is a 9-inch HD infotainment system on board, SmartPlay Pro Plus, and fingerprint recognition. The Fronx is all about smart convenience and usability thanks to the wireless charger and heads-up display with smartphone connectivity. Parking and maneuvering will be made considerably simpler with a 360-degree camera providing an all-around view. The automatic version also comes packed with paddle shifters, which enhance the driving experience.

Price And Positioning In The Market

Maruti Suzuki has priced the Fronx so that it can compete with rivals in the compact SUV segment. The entry-level Sigma variant begins at an introductory price of ₹7.55 lakh; the top-of-the-line Alpha Turbo variant is priced at ₹12.91 lakh (ex-showroom). In April 2025, Maruti Suzuki marginally increased the price across all variants by ₹2,500, to keep Fronx in the realm of desirability among buyers.

Future Prospect

The launch of a hybrid variant of the Fronx from Maruti Suzuki is expected around late 2025. This model is expected to use the Z12 engine with a strong hybrid system, claiming an impressive mileage of 35 kmpl. The hybrid aims to add better fuel efficiency while not compromising much on performance and driving dynamics compared to the standard version.
